Hi, I’m Ana Torres. I am 25 years old and I am a student of Information Systems at the Federeal Institute of Maranhão in Brazil and I’m also a computer technician from the same institute.
I’m really passionate about technology and currently develop systems for auditing in Tribunal de Contas do Maranhão. I’m a friendly person and I have always looked for new challenges, to learn new skills, something that LAPASSION@SLZ is providing me. I like to work as a team because each one always contributes a different skill and I believe that together we will hide the best ideas.

Hello! My name is Jhonatas Gutierrez, I am 24 years old and I am a student of Industrial Electrical Engineering at the Federal Institute of Maranhão. I have been a researcher at the Institute for 3 years and my areas of interest in scientific research focus mainly on the study of Renewable Energy Systems focusing on Photovoltaic Systems of Energy and Distributed Generation.
My hobby is photography and I am passionate about technology.

I am Petteri Kiuru. 28 years old business administration student from Tampere, Finland. My line of education in Finland is entrepreneuership and teamleadership. I’m on second year at my studies. I applied to LAPASSION because my main goals for my career are to be successful teamleader in international businesses. So LAPASSION sounded like great project to get a little bit closer to my goals. I’ve never have traveled to Brazil and I’ve always wanted. Opportunity was in hand for me. This is a great way to see the real culture and meet the real Brazilian people because in this case I don’t travel to some tourist city.

I’m Gustavo, Brazilian, student of IFMA, Monte Castelo Campus. I study Civil Engineering and currently I’m in the 7° degree. I am graduated in the technical course of buildings by IFMA. In 2018, I was selected to go to USA to learn English and knowing a little bit closer the culture of North Americans. I lived there for 3 months, and the knowledge I got there goes beyond of only learn english, but it was a great opportunity to know different people from various countries and understand and respect the variety of cultures. So, back to Brazil, I’ve been trying to apply the knowledge I got. I’m very focused in develop projects in the university, but it must have a relevance to the society. So, being a part of a team in LAPASSAION project is an outstanding opportunity to make a difference.

My name is Evandro Mendonça, I’m Technician in Mechatronics, currently studying Mechanical Engineering at IFPE Caruaru. I’m also member of IF1 Racing Team and Hórus Aerodesign, both teams for SAE competitions (SAE Aerodesign and Formula SAE). I work with electronics and automation. I came to LaPassion project because I find it an incredible opportunity of meeting people from all parts of the world and making network. In addition to that, I can make new friends and, moreover, practice the English I’ve been learning all this time. Of course I have to mention that an international project like this is an amazing experience for my professional life. The most important thing, though, is the opportunity that everyone of us have to make the difference in the Maranhão people’s lives. We may find solutions to local problems and truly give a contribution to the state. That’s awesome!
